WWIZ goes all-Christmas 90 days ahead

Cumulus Media in Youngstown started the Christmas music run on WWIZ-FM (103.9 West Middlesex) at 12:25 p.m. Friday. It makes the first station in the country to make the flip – a month earlier than last year’s flip. The oldies programming will return with the start of 2021.

In a press release received by Radio Insight, VP and Market Manager Bill Kelly said, “If ever ‘we could use a little Christmas, right this very moment’ it is this year. We simply want to lift people’s spirits.”
