WTAE and Trib announce new partnership
July 12, 2023WTAE-TV (4) and TribLive.com have announced a new partnership to deliver local news to viewers and readers in the area. The partnership will allow the two entities to share newsroom resources covering daily news and will include collaborative work on special reports and live events.
In a press release from the station, WTAE News Director Jim Parsons says, “Now more than ever, news consumers want to know they can trust the news they are receiving is accurate. For decades, viewers and readers throughout Western Pennsylvania have trusted the hard-working journalists at WTAE Channel 4 and TribLive to get the facts right in telling compelling stories about the people and issues in their neighborhoods.” Parsons went on to say the partnership will make the connections even stronger.
Jennifer Bertetto, President and CEO of Trib Total Media agrees saying, “This partnership is yet another important milestone in our commitment to being news leaders in Western Pennsylvania.” She also said WTAE and its parent company, Hearst, have a strong record of supporting innovation.
