WQZS owner waives hearing

A Somerset County radio station owner waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday.

Roger “The Commander” Wahl, who owns oldies/classic rock formatted WQZS (93.3 FM) in Meyersdale, faces multiple charges relative to an incident where he’s accused of installing a trail camera in a woman’s home and then linking the video from it to a social media page.  Prosecutors allege that Wahl, 68, would solicit men to gang-rape the 61-year-old victim, who is known to Wahl.

Wahl also serves on the Larimer Township board of supervisors.  No trial date has yet been set.
