WQTW may be off air a while

Listeners to Latrobe’s WQTW-AM (1570) have been without that station for a month after the transmission tower blew over in a windstorm. Word on the street had been that financial problems would keep the station off the air indefinitely. However, PBRTV has since learned that insurance will cover the cost of the tower and that the station should be up by the end of June.

WQTW is owned by Wall Communications which also owns WLSW-FM (103.9 Scottdale).
