Wolfley dies, Meador out at WAMO
March 10, 2025Former Pittsburgh Steeler and broadcast host Craig Wolfley has died following a brief illness. He was 66 at the time of his death on Monday. In recent years, Wolfley spent time in radio – especially during Steeler broadcasts as well as with the late Tunch Ilkin on their own local talk show on WBGG (970). Ilkin died in 2021 from ALS. The pair were also known for their fundraising efforts – particularly that of Light of Life Mission.
Pittsburgh has a second victim of last week’s Audacy staff trimmings. Malaysia Meador has been released of her duties as midday host at R&B WAMO (660 Wilkinsburg; W297BU 107.3 Pittsburgh). She started at the station as an intern in 2020 and was in the midday seat by 2022.
Condolences, thoughts, and prayers for his family. TUNCH and WOLF will now broadcast heavenly sporting events together. They will also have special guests JON BURNETT and MIKE LANGE in the booth as well during those broadcasts. lol.
I’ll second Mr. Hays. Those are four great people we’ve lost.
