WNJR modifies power
September 3, 2019Some power changes are taking place at WNJR (91.7 Washington) which is Washington & Jefferson’s station. While the power will drop to 400 watts, the antenna will be raised to 375 feet which will spread the signal out. It will be directional away from California and Morgantown. The height will help push the signal toward Pittsburgh.

That’s nice, I’ve followed the station since a friend went to school there, when they had very low power. When they raised it a few decades ago, I could hear the station in the hills of Crafton with a decent radio.
It seems they’re putting a lot into building this increase, and if approved and finished, I hope it invigorates their programming too.
