WMNY back on the air
November 12, 2013One of our local radio observers has found that WMNY-AM (1360 McKeesport) is back on the air for the first time under Pentecostal Temple Development Corp’s ownership. As planned, it is simulcasting its new sister WGBN-AM (1150 New Kensington) for the time being. Reportedly, plans have the station eventually adopting its own format. 1360 operates a daytime signal of 5000 watts from Glen Hazel and a nighttime power of 1000 watts from Liberty Boro.
This post got me thinking, how many other AM stations in the US operate with separate day and night sites. I doubt that there are many with this situation. I hope Pentecostal Dev. Corp. will be successful with the operation of the station.
