WHYP 1370 license blunder

News from Fybush.com reports that last week, Vilkie Communications Corry station WHYP 1370 was found by the FCC to be operating without a license. The station is currently listed by the FCC as “DWHYP”. Apparently when previous station owner Corry Communications filed for license renewal back in 2006 when the station was WWCB, the filing did not take place by the Comission. Vilkie filed for a temporary license until the matter is resolved with Vilkie paying a fine to the FCC for WHYP and can hopefully get the license renewed.
