Where’s Rose?
April 18, 2018Rose Somma-Tennent has been missing from her show at WPGP (1250) and with a little help from our friend, Patrick, we’ve found out what’s going on.
MESSAGE FROM ROSE:
Because I consider the 2018 mid-term elections – specifically the Primary Election- to be perhaps one of the most important in my lifetime – I will be committed to working for a few candidates that I feel must win in the Primary.
I cannot do both the radio show in Pittsburgh and work on the primary at the same time. My desire right now is to support these candidates in the strongest way possible. In the meantime my show is still being broadcast elsewhere.
“Elsewhere” is WYSL in Avon, New York where former partner Jim Quinn is also carried.
Subterfuge at its worst. Most likely fired or her contract wasn’t renewed.
My thoughts, prayers, and best wishes to Rose for all her efforts. With all of the available technology today, Quinn and Rose can keep working and pursuing a lot of other interests to get their messages out.
Or cost-cutting as has become Standard Operating Procedure in this business. Salem invested all that money into moving Hugh Hewitt to Washington for a national morning show, so why keep Rose on the payroll too?
