Wadas leaving hometown for Denver

KDKA-TV (2) reporter Amy Wadas spent her July 4 holiday announcing her departure from the station – and Pittsburgh – come July 14 on her social media pages.

“This was one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had to make. Pittsburgh is my hometown and I always dreamed of working at KDKA, the station I grew up watching. I’ve spent eight years here and I always thought this is where I would end my career,” she said.

Wadas and her husband are heading to Denver, Colorado where she will continue her career with an opportunity “too good to pass up”. She is looking forward to hiking in the mountains.
