Verszyla out at KDKA

KDKA-TV and meteorologist Jeff Verszyla have parted ways as of today. Verszyla released this tweet this afternoon. No word on station plans for a new chief meteorologist.

    Unless Dennis Bowman comes out of retirement, my guess is they go without someone holding that title until the beginning of the new year. Good odds that Ron Smiley inherits the throne. It would be a slap in the face to Ron and the viewers if they bring Ray Petelin in full time and give it to him.

    Of the half dozen at KD that should be replaced, I wouldn’t have thought Jeff to be the first. Way to go KD, real class, helping a guy have a Merry Christmas. Station management in the industry has been terrible for the last 20 years. This is just another example
