Tidbits
April 12, 2025Just a few notes before this editor goes into Holy Week hiding for his “Job #1”. (Not that he needs a reason to hide… but at least this hiding has a viable excuse! By the way… please join us if you are looking for a church home… even if it’s just online!)

Jack Bogut (KDKA, WTAE-AM/TV, WSHH, WJAS) was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame while recently retired news anchor David Johnson (WPXI) was inducted into the TV Hall of Fame. On hand was former WJAS Bogut in the Morning sidekick Chris Shovlin who was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 2024
Other winners from around the area include:

- Are there others in the PBRTV region who’ve won? Please let us know.
Further changes at Beaver County Radio
Some staff changes last summer at Beaver County Radio (owned by St. Barnabas Broadcasting) led to the creation of “Driving in the Fast Lane” on WBVP (1230 Beaver Falls) and “The Beaver Morning Show” on WMBA (1460 Ambridge). Come Monday, the two shows will be combined on both AMs and their FM frequencies (99.3 and 95.7 respectively) with both Scott Tady and Frank Sparks hosting “The Beaver County Radio Morning Show”. It will air from 6:00-10:00 a.m. with most popular segments remaining, although moved to different days and/or times. Meanwhile Mike Romigh will make a return from retirement to host “Live Mic” from 10:00 a.m. to Noon each day.
WOHI to Ohio Midland Newsgroup
Jumping to the Ohio Valley, we understand Forever Media is selling WOHI (1490 East Liverpool) to Ohio Midland Newsgroup, LLC who owns six stations in the region including WOMP (100.5 Bellaire). More as we hear it.
