The Pirates and Entercom have agreed to a new multi-year contract to air the baseball games. The agreement has been in place since 2012 after a few years’ agreement with what was then Clear Channel. The new agreement will simulcast all weekday afternoon games on KDKA-FM (93.7) and AM (1020) along with the FM translator at 100.1. A select number of games including opening day (April 1) and the home opener (April 8) will also be aired on the 3 signals. Otherwise listen for them on KDKA-FM.

I regret to have missed the announcement of the death of Mike Hegol who not only led the Mike Hegol Tamburitza Orchestra but also hosted The Sounds of the Tamburitza on local radio for many years – the most recent being on Jeannette-licensed WKFB (770). Hegol was 81 years old at the time of his death in January.
