Another round of iHeart Media cuts late last week focused on news departments. One such loss was Tom Moore from WTAM (1100 Cleveland). Moore may have worked in Cleveland, but his voice used to be heard locally reading news on WPGB (104.7) when it was iHeart’s talk outlet. Lately Moore had been heard on WKBN (570 Youngstown). Moore had worked for WTAM for 24 years.

Weather enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the National Weather Service at Pittsburgh (Shafer Road; Moon Township) is upgrading the transmitter in its radar KPBZ. The radar has been in operation for 20 years and this upgrade will ensure another 20 years.
