PBRTV has heard through several sources that former WTAE-AM (1250) program director Ted Atkins is in the hospital and not doing well. Atkins, better known to his cohorts as “Captain Showbiz”, has been fighting Pancreatic Cancer for over a year. Your thoughts and prayers would no doubt be appreciated.

    Eric, I just got word this afternoon that Ted Atkins passed away earlier today (Thursday 7/19/12). Ted will long be remembered as one of the all time greats.
