The Final Hoerth Broadcast

The date was Sunday, May 25, 2008 (Memorial Day Weekend) when Doug Hoerth did his very last broadast. The show was on Phil Lenz’s “Pittsburgh Oldies Channel” where Hoerth did a full 8 hours of his “Moldie Oldie Golden Gassers”. As a tribute, Lenz will run a rebroadcasting of the entire show this Sunday – Super Bowl Sunday from 1:00 – 10:00 p.m. The first hour (1:00 – 2:00) will feature the second hour of Lenz’s program from this past week when he, with guest Mark Mervick, remembered Hoerth and talked about his legacy in Pittsburgh broadcasting.
