Summer Concerts Galore!

Entercom Pittsburgh has announced the full lineup of its annual (WDSY 107.9) Y108 8 Man Jam being held at Rivers Casino on the North Shore. Joe Nichols, David Lee Murphy, Eric Paslay, Jordan Davis, Michael Taylor, Cale Dodds, Ryan Hurd and Mitchell Tenpenny will take part in the event at 7:30 p.m. on May 24. Tickets are free, but are available only to Y108 listeners who participate in the station’s contests. Click here for more information. This is the station’s 8th annual kickoff to the summer concert season.
Meanwhile, noncommercial WYEP (91.3) announced its lineup for the 2018 summer concert series at Schenley Plaza. The concert series consists of the Summer Music Festival on June 30 and two Final Friday concerts – one on July 27 in August 31. For the first time, all three shows are comprised entirely of bands and artists from Pennsylvania.
The Summer Music Festival will open on Saturday, June 30 with the Reimaginations Showcase. This portion of the show puts the spotlight on three area teen bands and musicians who have recorded with the station’s Reimagination artist development program. The evening portion of the performance will be headlined by singers and groups from Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
The first Final Friday concert on July 27 will be in all Pittsburgh bill, with the August 31 show featuring groups from Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
