SPJ Chapter hosts Broadcast Legends & Storytellers
April 23, 2014The Pittsburgh Professional Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) will host Broadcast Legends & Storytellers this Saturday (4/26) from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the WESA (90.5) studios. The program will feature Joe DeNardo, Bob James, Adam Lynch and Eleanor Schano and will be moderated by WESA’s Paul Guggenheimer. The discussion will focus on being a broadcast journalist in the days before “instant” news; lugging heavy equipment around to report on a fire; reporting weather in the days before “computer models”; and more.
Reservation deadline is Thursday, April 24 (that’s tomorrow!!) and is $20 for SPJ Members; $25 for non-members and $15 for students. Call 412-624-5448.
