Sebak produces a quick WQED history
June 14, 2021No, it is not a major anniversary year for our local multimedia outlet, WQED. But who says it needs to be for you to produce a wonderful 28 minute documentary about the station? Rick Sebak took on the project earlier this spring as he began to emerge from the pandemic. It is a brief look at the station from the time it began in 1954 until present day here in 2021. I think you, like I, will enjoy the memories that are sparked from watching this special.
From Josie Carey to voluntarily neutering our signal for cash…
Yet it got them out of a long-standing debt and be able to operate in the black, Carson. It’s still WQED… and if you think about it most Regular Joe viewers don’t really give two hoots what channel it’s on over the air. They get it via cable and have done so for years.
How they acquired that longstanding debt is a topic for a whole separate documentary.
Well, neither Rick nor PBRTV will waste efforts producing it.
