Roteman steps down from radio job
April 16, 2015Jeff Roteman, who manages tribute sites for top-40 KQV, WTAE-AM, and 13Q among others, has stepped away from his radio job of 18 years. Jeff tells us in his own words.
Dear Eric
It is official. After 18 years I have stepped down as music director / air personality at WIKZ / MIX 95.1 in Chambersbrurg / Hagerstown. I started in 1997 doing mornings at Froggy / Kiss Country 94.3. I later moved across the hall to our HOT AC big brother MIX 95,1 where I moved from 7-mid, to middays where I have been since 2001. I suffered a minor stroke last September and am doing very well. Working with GM Rich Bateman and OM/PD Rick Alexander has been a great experience. I will continue working on my tribute sites for KQV, WTAE, 13Q, KOOL Harrisburg, WKBO, WLS, 3WS, ABC Radio News, Nighttime America, and others.
Jeff Roteman (JP McCartney – air name)
Jeff is a friend to all of radio. I wish him well for the future and thank him for the treasure trove of info and memories on his tribute sites
