Ratings no real surprise
November 1, 2018iHeart’s WWSW (94.5) and WDVE (102.5) top the book (as usual). They are followed by Steel City’s WRRK (96.9), Entercom’s KDKA-FM (93.7), and Renda’s WSHH (99.7). Returning, however, are the Forever stations who have been absent from the publicly-released ratings. It seems that Forever has resubscribed to Nielsen Audio thereby allowing them to be released. Out of the 5 Forever stations listed, the best appears to be WLYI (103.5) which touts the newer Willie Classic Country format.
Stations were really pumping up their audio watermarking for Nielsen this time, it seemed like. I was in a restaurant and couldn’t stop hearing it on one of the stations, it might have been on Delilah’s show. We might as well go back to AM and the stone age.
I’m glad Willie has come on air. Country has been becoming a new popular music format, so older generations of country were not getting played on larger stations. Willie helps to open up the doors a little.
