Play stupid games; win stupid prizes!

In the early days of PBRTV there was a “mailbag” where I would take your old-fashioned email and post it on the site. It was a well-oiled and moderated machine. Eventually, when we converted to a blog format some years later, we naturally adopted the moderated comment format where you can submit your thoughts on the story. Of course, that’s part of what makes Facebook, Facebook, so naturally if we want a page for PBRTV, we have that to moderate as well.

Getting back to the old mailbag, readers might recall neither this site nor the late DCRTV would publish any emails which sought to belittle a person; name calling or anything that would bring about undue or unnecessary hurt towards someone. Constructive criticism was certainly welcome, but after a while things didn’t seem very nice there either. Anyway, if the rules weren’t followed, we rejected the email.

I tell you this because today I had to step in and ban a long-time reader from PBRTV’s Facebook page for comments on a story which sounded as though it was “retaliation” stemming from a personal situation regarding the subject of that particular story. The statements were COMPLETELY unfair, inappropriate, and could have caused further issues if left to fester. These comments have also been removed. To those readers who alerted me to the post: I thank you. My sincerest apologies to all.

That said, if you really want to try what’s left of my patience as well as what little dopamine my brain still produces on its own, please feel free. It’s a stupid game… and your stupid prize is you’ll be “yeeted” from our social media pages pretty fast.

SUGGESTION: Do yourself a favor: don’t even try it and ultimately ruin it for yourself and eventually everyone else.

Yes, we all have our moments. None of us is perfect by any means. But I can tell you, I didn’t make it to 25 years with this website by being disrespectful.
