Petelin will host Hometown High Q

Hometown High Q will return with a new season on KDKA-TV (2) on 9/26. With it comes a new host, meteorologist Ray Petelin. These episodes will be shot remotely during the pandemic.

Although he’s not been named as chief over the last two years, Petelin (formerly at WTAE-TV) does cover many if not all of the time slots former chief meteorologist Jeff Verzyla (now at WTAE) held during his tenure. Petelin has also been producing “Hey Ray!” segments throughout the last few months with his daughter, Elizabeth who usually plays the “straight man” to her father’s dad jokes.
