Notable deaths

- Columbus Ohio radio host John Corby died unexpectedly over the weekend. Corby had worked as news director and morning co-host at WNCI (97.9 Columbus) before going to WTVN (610 Columbus) for the first of two stints 1984-94. From 1994-97, Corby had a run at KDKA (1020) where he did sports and general talk. He returned to Columbus in 1997 and to WTVN and afternoon drive which he held until his death at age 61. (Radio Ink)
- John Trout, the longtime host of a bluegrass program on WYEP (91.3), passed away January 16. He started his program on WYEP in 1985, driving in from Latrobe where he was a councilman and a volunteer fireman. He was 77.
