More personalities signing off
May 20, 2019WPXI (11) reporter Courtney Brennan signs off at the end of the week after nine years with the station. Brennan said, “I have some new and exciting television and social media opportunities and I’ve decided to just GO FOR IT.” Her sister, former WTAE (4) reporter Kelly Brennan, left her position a year or two ago. They can be seen together on social media talking about their experiences of being moms.
Also signing off is KDKA-TV (2) weather man Jon Burnett who retires June 1 after 37 years with the station. Burnett was hired as Liz Miles’ co-anchor of the station’s “Evening Magazine” when Dave Durian left for Baltimore. Soon after he expanded his career as Patrice King-Brown’s co-host of Pittsburgh 2-Day. He had served in similar roles in Nashville and Louisville prior to arriving in Pittsburgh.
All of the above have agreed to be guests on the PBRTV Podcast in the month of June. We’re finalizing schedules now. Stay tuned!
I will sure miss Jon Burnett. He seems so personable and a down to earth person. He was always having a good time on camera. Not being “stuck Up” or trying to be above his viewers. Good luck, Jon. We will sure miss you and have a wonderful retirement that you deserve!
