Butler County-based Saxonburgradio.com has added a new husband-and-wife morning show to its daily programming lineup.

“The John and Heidi Show” made its debut yesterday.  The syndicated show, distributed nationally by CloudCastRadio.com, is hosted by John and Heidi Small, who flagship the show from Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based KZOY (Sunny 93.3), a station they’ve owned since 2010.  The show is syndicated to approximately 300 stations nationwide.

This isn’t John and Heidi’s first foray into the Pittsburgh market.  Their show was aired on the now-defunct Pop Source Radio.  Saxonburgradio.com President and General Manager Ken Hawk says the show is a good fit for western Pennsylvania.

“Husband and wife morning shows are highly relatable as far as morning radio teams,” says Hawk.  “One reason is because listeners know it’s not scripted material.  What happens at home is out in the open on the air.  Listeners want a show that they feel is up close and personal.  John and Heidi deliver that and more.  We haven’t had that level of listener intimacy since Don and Michelle Jefferson (formerly of WSHH) back in the late 90s.”

“The John and Heidi Show” airs from 6am to 10am Monday through Friday. John Small also airs two short-form programs called “Market Beat Minute” and “Motivational Minute”, which also air on the station.
