Kevin Battle to join KDKA Morning Show
February 20, 2020Entercom Pittsburgh announced today that Kevin Battle will join Larry Richert as co-host of The KDKA (1020) Radio Morning News beginning March 9.
“As we celebrate the centennial of KDKA Radio, the world’s first radio station, we were focused on adding a host that can reflect the energy and pulse of where Pittsburgh is in 2020 and beyond,” said Michael Spacciapolli, Senior Vice President and Market Manager
“There have been three morning hosts at KDKA Radio in my lifetime – Jack Bogut, John Cigna, and Larry Richert, and I am thrilled I get to work with one of them,” said Battle. “Larry is part of the fabric of Pittsburgh.
Battle went on to say that he has fond memories of listening to KDKA with his family and can’t wait to keep listeners well-informed. The Pittsburgh native was a member of the inaugural staff at Fox News Headlines 24/7 and worked at WJZ-FM in Baltimore and as a news anchor at the short-lived WNEW-FM in Washington DC (now WDCH). Local listeners will remember him as an air talent from WDVE (102.5) and WRRK (96.9).
