Johnson to retire in December

David Johnson has been with WPXI since 1985. In his 40-year career with the station, he has received numerous awards including a regional emmy. He’s been at WPXI’s anchor desk for the majority of those years as part of Pittsburgh’s longest-serving anchor team along with Peggy Finnegan who retired in 2020. Johnson will retire after the 11:00 p.m. newscast on December 13 and is looking forward to spending time with family. WPXI will share history of his career with the station over the next month.
