“Jazz FM” coming soon to Erie

No, the headline is not a misprint. Sister station to WYNE 1530, WMCE 88.5 / 104.9 at Mercyhurst College will become Erie’s first ever all Jazz station. “The Fine Arts Station” will be dropping classical and some other genres not related to it’s new Jazz identity. Thus, leaving the classics to WQLN 91.3. The new station will be known as “Jazz FM” and is expected to make it’s debut in February of ’09.
