Introducing the Bruce Graham Collection
May 22, 2021See Bruce Graham’s tour of KQV’s Chamber of Commerce Building tour in 1971. Do note the exterior photo – including WDVE’s sign on the side of the building – was shot in 1975 and was not as it appeared during Mr. Graham’s tour.

Which cart held the teletype noise.. 🙂 That wouldn’t be for a few years yet, so maybe each cart had a single song, if that was the main on-air studio.
Maybe Porky Chedwick was on KQV around this time, I’d heard it was early 1970s, when they were a pop music station.
I note their heavy duty door closer, we had those at my school, they’d let an open door come to rest slowly to not make noise.
How strange it looks now to see ashtrays lying around on desks inside of a business.
I wanted to mention too that I like the Bruce Graham collection for the spirit of archiving and getting these pictures out there to be seen again. The scenes could have been lost for good if Bruce hadn’t scanned and sent them out.
