In Memory: Barbara Cloud

Former Pittsburgh Press and Post-Gazette fashion writer/columnist Barbara Cloud passed away Friday at her son’s home in Summit, New Jersey where they recently returned from a vacation in Stone Harbor.. A once-aspiring actress, Cloud got into journalism as a “temporary job” which became a 50+ year career. She formally retired in 2008, but continued to write occasional columns for the Post-Gazette through part of 2011. The last two columns in 2011 spoke about the return of cancer which she had battled a decade earlier. Funeral arrangements are incomplete but it is expected to be in Pittsburgh.
