In Memoriam: Adam Lynch
February 28, 2018WTAE-TV reports legendary TV anchor Adam Lynch has died at the age of 89. Lynch worked at WEDO in McKeesport before making the switch to TV. He was a weather man at KDKA-TV before the station hired Joe DeNardo. Lynch went to channel 11 (then WIIC) where he anchored with numerous others including Ray Tannehill who later left for KDKA. Lynch left channel 11 for WTAE where he rounded out his career in the mid-1990s. He had been living in Texas with his daughter at the time of his death.
Adam Lynch will be remembered as one of the nice guys in the business.

Sorry to hear of Adam Lynch passing. I had the privilege of working with him when I was an engineer at WWSW AM & WPEZ FM. He was always cheerful, a classy guy and a pleasure to work with.
