Here’s something you don’t see every day
September 18, 2019You might think that the competition among stations – whether radio or TV – is so fierce that you can’t talk to one another. But the truth is that the paths cross more often than not – particularly when they are working for the same cause.
Consider the photo above. From left to right, we have WPXI (11) anchor David Johnson, KDKA (2) anchor Ken Rice, and WTAE (4) anchor Mike Clark who were together on Tuesday to promote Off the Record XIX: Heaven Help Us put on by the newspaper guild and SAG/AFTRA.
The show is described as “Pittsburgh’s civic satirists look in their cracked mirror for the 19th time to uncover what outrageous news and newsmakers will be the main targets of this year’s Off the Record. This fun, community-minded event benefits the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank and local scholarships. Included with your ticket is a pre-show reception at 6:30 p.m. featuring culinary treats from local restauranteurs. Curtain goes up and hilarity ensues at 8:00 p.m.!”
The event is October 3 at the Byham Theatre, Downtown. Times listed in the description above. Tickets start at $31.25.
