Hearst and DirecTv reach deal
January 7, 2017Local DirecTv viewers were able to watch WTAE-TV for the first time in 2017 this morning. WTAE’s parent, Hearst, reached a deal with DirecTv for carriage. DirecTv reached a similar deal with WPXI’s parent, Cox Media Group on New Year’s Day. Both stations were blocked at 12:00 a.m. on January 1.
