Gastmeyer hangs up his microphone

WPXI-TV (11) reporter Andy Gastmeyer is apparently retiring next week according to a PG article. Gastmeyer has been with WPXI since July 1984. Before that he was with KDKA-TV (2) and WAVY-TV in Norfolk, VA. He was also a White House correspondent for Television News, Inc. and DC’s Satellite News. Channel 11 is considering whether or not to find someone to fill the position. Given the economic times, that may not happen.
