The Trib is reporting the death of former KDKA-TV (2) medical editor, Dr. Paul Nemiroff. Although no cause of death was given, Nemiroff had lived with MDS, a type of blood cancer, since a 1999 diagnosis. He came to KDKA in 2002 after a few years at an LA station. He went off the air at KD in 2009 and married anchor Patrice King Brown whom he leaves behind. Upon her retirement in 2011, the couple moved to LA for the benefit of his health. Nemiroff was 73.
High-school football on a 50,000 watt clear channel signal? I guess some of us played a couple of decades too soon.
If it brings in a buck or two… which it does. A “couple decades ago” it was more of a public service…
