EPM hires 11 ‘DUQ staffers

Essential Public Media has hired 11 WDUQ staffers for the launch of the all-news station coming to 90.5 FM on July 1.
Most notably, Bob Studebaker and Helen Wigger will be the hosts of JazzWorks programming on the station’s HD channel. They will also serve as producer and operations director respectively. Mark Nootbaar will serve as senior assignment editor and Kevin Gavin will serve as director of interns and a producer.
Two weekly programs have retained their spots on the station. “Rhythm Sweet and Hot” and hosts Dale Abraham and Mike Plaskett and “Music From India” with Dr. Vijay Bahl and Hirish Saluja will remain.
