Christmas Music is back

Pittsburgh’s two favorite all-Christmas music stations are back for the season. November 22 was Light-Up Night in Pittsburgh which, in recent years, has become the official start of the holiday music on Renda’s WSHH (99.7) and iHeart’s WWSW (94.5).

The move either delights or disappoints many when it happens at this time of year – before Thanksgiving – but one thing is for sure. The two stations usually celebrate in mid-January with their “Holiday” ratings when they hit the #1 and #2 spots.

The two stations are also featuring some new imaging voices. WSHH, who used to have Pat Garrett doing the liners and sweepers, have opted for a myriad of voices – male and female. But did we hear Mr. Garrett on WWSW? Hmmm…
