Chris Pike heads to retirement

Chris Pike, whose 14 years at KDKA-TV (2) makes him the longest-tenured TV general manager in the market, announced his retirement to station employees last week. Pike has spent close to 40 years in TV working as a GM in DC, Harrisburg, and Virginia, and sales in DC and California. He will continue to work until a successor is named. That is expected to happen in mid-May.
