June 18, 2019WPXI-TV (11) news director Suzanne Nadel left the station for Cox Media Group’s parent station WSB in Atlanta. The hype site FTV Live broke the news Monday. WPXI has named Scott Trabandt as the new news director.
Meanwhile KDKA-TV (2) says goodbye to General Manager Jay Howell on July 2. The Pittsburgh Business Times says Howell (whose father, John, had the same role at WPXI from 1984 to 2001) will be president and GM at the CBS properties in Los Angeles. The younger Howell was at KDKA for 11 months after a similar amount of time in Sacramento. No replacement has been named.
