Changes Afoot – (a note that is so “last week”)
August 13, 2018August 5, 2018
Dear PBRTV Readers:
The information on this site is being reorganized to better serve you. We’re moving things around to be more in line with Nielsen’s market definitions.
Take a look at our new Pittsburgh Page, for instance. You’ll find the same AM/FM/TV description pages, station address page and, the newer AM/FM/TV Callsign Cavalcade pages! Same great info, just better organized. (It will help me to edit behind the scenes too!)
Please understand that there will be a need to reorganize some of the information based on counties either being realigned by Nielsen or (more likely) because PBRTV has had them in the wrong place all along! There is also still a lot of research and information updating to do. Patience is appreciated!
Meanwhile, as we approach the site’s 20th anniversary on October 21, the blog (news) continues as usual. We also have an active presence on social media – we are trying for 1000 likes on Facebook by October 21. We are also on Twitter and Instagram!
I hope to have the changes finished by the anniversary. Meanwhile, thanks for your patience and understanding. Keep visiting!

P.S. – If a 20th Anniversary trinket was to be created, what would you like to see it be? Coffee Mug? T-shirt? Commemorative sticker?
What about the station in Ligonier that started up several years back on 1620 and more recently on 100.9?
Ah, Ron Adams “Ligonier Radio”. Both 1620 (in the upper AM band) and 100.9 are, in this case, “Part 15” low power stations that don’t fall under licensing procedures and rules so long as they fly below the regulated maximum power allowed.
Ten Thumbs Up for The Pittsburgh Page. Looking forward to all new ‘format.’ Congratulations on upcoming 20th Anniversary, Eric.
Mug! A big one!
