Worked with Bob at WTAE for years. We partnered on Steeler Hotline. And we lived in the same neighborhood in Shaler for 13 years. The ultimate pro. Condolences to all the family.

Whatta set of pipes! Bob was the consummate professional when we worked together at WTAE. Sad news. Rest in peace, Mr. Kopler.
I remember him as a guest lecturer to our class at a local university. He told us that all of the REAL power in an organization resides in the sales department. And that KDKA radio was losing ten listeners a day via the obituary column. An interesting fellow. I have used that bit about power residing in the sales department to resolve many consumer complaints over the years. RIP.
Bob was the definition of a pro. I enjoyed knowing him personally and listening to him as a coworker and admiring his daily work…RIP
I loved seeing Bob walking around Hartwood Acres. I run there every morning and would stop and talk with him. He will be greatly missed. My son is 14 and we would refer to him as KDKA man. This time of year I think of him going to Atria\\\’s on Christmas Eve with his family. I will miss seeing him. I really enjoyed talking with him about the politics of the day and seeing him around Hartwood. My condolences to his family. I will alwyas remember him and will miss him, So sad to hear about his passing today.
