PBRTV received word of the death of Anne Linaberger late Friday. Linaberger is known for her work at WTAE-TV and KDKA-TV over the years. In the late 1980s, she was an anchor/reporter/producer at WDTV-TV in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Beginning in 1984, however, she was news anchor at WAMO Pittsburgh (105.9 FM and 860 AM) for about 6 years before moving out to Ardmore Boulevard in 1989 to become anchor/reporter and public affairs host for WTAE-AM (1250) and WVTY-FM (96.1). Additionally she served WTAE-TV as executive producer and reporter 7 years. (In fact, word has it her last appearance on the air was on Channel 4 in 1994 when USAir Flight 427 crashed near the airport at which time the regular anchors and reporters were out for a business meeting.)
