An interesting find…
April 18, 2013This video comes from YouTuber “FuzzyMemoriesTV” who was able to get his hands on 16mm kinescope from the collection of Len Johnson. The newscast was offered by WIIC-TV (11; now WPXI) at 6:30 p.m. on August 23, 1962. The newscast was just 10 minutes long. Johnson moved on to Chicago where during the remainder of the 1960s, 70s and early 80s he was heard over WGN-Radio and TV as a program host and Chicago Cubs broadcasts.

I think this is more an early 2\\\” video tape—the video is too clear for a kinescope PLUS you can see the heads locking up on the video signal as the piece begins.
I concur with “msg”. This was a 2 inch quad tape. It had segments that were shot on 16mm film, but this news cast was on 2 inch tape. Great find.
