Ambush kiss on reporter goes viral

June 4, 2024 Off By Eric O'Brien

June 1 was the evening of Pittsburgh’s annual Kenny Chesney concert. Historically that particular concert goes viral for the trash left behind in the parking lots. We haven’t heard anything about that in 2024, but we have heard about this: WPXI-TV (11) sent one of their newer reporters, Andrew Havranek to do a live spot from outside Acrisure Stadium.

As is typical during these live shots, you will have a crowd of people having a good time trying to get their faces on television and test the reporter’s professionalism. But every now and again, someone lacking judgement will try a little harder. Not long into the report, Havranek found himself pushing off a female coming in for a kiss. The woman appeared to fall into the crowd behind the reporter before the camera cut to the B-Roll. See the video and Havranek’s own words below.

According to The Tribune-Review, Mr. Havranek had no idea that she had fallen and wishes her well. The woman remains unidentified.
