WRPL signed on as a new station to Erie on October 15, 2001. Back in 1979, 94.3 had an AC format as WYSS it stayed that way until about 1983 when it switched to WEOZ. It remained as WEOZ throughout the 80's before going dark prior to WMDE. In 2000, Keymarket/Forever bought the station and changed it to WHUZ.
