CP for WMBS’ translator approved
August 31, 2016WMBS (590 Uniontown) general manager Brian Mroziak checked in with PBRTV the other day to let us know that the construction permit for their translator has been approved. The license for W266DB was moved from Canandaigua, New York. The new signal will be at 101.1 and Mroziak expects the translator to be on the air in the first quarter of 2017.
101.1 is also the frequency for the new WZUM translator in Pittsburgh.
As mentioned in a prior story. I believe this has an “east-west” signal and coupled with the distance it shouldn’t affect ZUM.
The quality of WMBS sound and signal will be greatly enhanced especially if the FM will have stereo capabilities. Congratulations to WMBS , Brian Mroziak and the people of Fayette County.
