Retro Television gone?
Pittsburgh: From DCRTV: The Retro TV Network (RTN) has apparently gone belly-up due to lack of advertising revenue. We're a little confused though because a check of the channel (A.K.A. "11.3") over the weekend still seemed to show classic programming from between the 1950s and 80s. If this is true, then it's a double whammy for WPXI and their digital subchannels. NBC discontinued its "Weather Plus" which aired on 11.2 up until the beginning of December 2008. Nothing has replaced it yet.Readers’ Forum
I just checked Comcast channel 207 where Quincy should be airing right now (1:00 PM.) Emergency is on which normally is on at 3 PM.

RTN is not dead. DCRTV erroneously reported that yesterday despite repeated e-mails about how wrong it was. http://www.tvnewsday.com/articles/2009/0..

Great! I guess I won’t be watching any more reruns of “Ironside.”

This appears to be a financial dispute affecting only certain affiliates — check out details provided in this story: http://www.tvnewsday.com/articles/2009/0..

Looks like it is still there.. Wikipedia has more info about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retro_Telev..
doesn’t look like all markets are losing it.

In Pittsburgh, I am now getting RTN on both 11.2 and 11.3. However, the quality has deteriorated. Transitions show rippling boxes, which I never had before. Does anyone else have the same problem?

What happened to the program, “Unreliable Sources”?
Is it still airing in the Pittsburgh Area?
Also, does anyone know why their channel guide for the RTN Channel is not correct in the Pittsburgh area?

RTN in Pittsburgh is now 11.2. The channel guide is old and I guess we have to wait for it to be updated. As far as Unreliable Sources, I cannot understand why this is on RTN when I expect only to see old reruns from past decades. What bugs me is that we also have to now put up with misplaced interruptions by very annoying ads. Gone are the retro-commercials which I found very interesting.
